To address the barriers faced by women and girls in rural Ghana in obtaining menstrual products, the Volta Pads project was created to manufacture reusable menstrual products that are affordable, sustainable, and sanitary. They’re produced by a community-owned social enterprise that’s managed and staffed by local women.
